Before I share–I just want to say THANK YOU!!
You all made launching this little adventure so fun! I had over 10,000 visits the first weekend I started.
It was THRILLING and I am hooked!
But then—I got sidetracked!
Life lessons do not slow down in “older age”. It was not a great idea for me to start this new website project while on deadline for finishing another one. Visit my website BLOG at www.patlayton.net to see what I mean. I “Launched” a whole different kind of dream there yesterday.
So, I’m BACK :))) and I have a GREAT 4th of July idea for you!
Several of you asked me about hospitality during a PANDEMIC.
We are all more than ready to invite friends and family to our homes for celebrations of every kind.
This coming weekend is 4th of July. So, let’s start there shall we?
I told you how much I love holiday themed decorating. It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.
This little idea has been a favorite in our last two homes. Both of them had views straight from the front door to the kitchen. Kitchens that are not in magazine articles are messy. My kitchen is always messy!
This SIMPLE decorating idea stands out, makes a statement without much fuss and the costs are low. Once you purchase the platform it is good to go for every event and makes your kitchen Holiday Happy every time!
You may have seen my Christmas version of this! (Trust me, I will post it again) The cool thing is many trinkets can be re-used–i.e RED from Christmas–Valentines, 4th of July… :)) Just grab a few updates from Hobby Lobby or Target and you are REFRESHED, REPURPOSED and RENEWED!! (Hmm…sounds like a book title!)
Another rather obvious gathering tip, especially during a season of “social distancing” is finger foods and PAPER. By not using metal utensils and glass serving dishes you keep things safer. Paper products keep things easy to pick up, put on your own plate and enjoy safely. (Note cute straws above :)))
It goes without saying the PAPER is POWER for most any gathering. Why wash when you can SIMPLY serve and throw away?
I discovered this amazing paper line last year and can not get enough of the color and theme options.
So tell me THIS doesn’t make your heart go pitter patter!!
These goodies come from SOPHISTIPLATE. Be careful, when you go to that website you WILL fall into a deep SIMPLE HOSPITALITY HOLE!! It is divine!
I’ll be ordering some Fall Fun from them and offering my readers a deal so stay tuned!
This is ALL paper stuff and easy (well not heart easy, but work easy) to THROW AWAY!
Next weekend is FREEDOM DAY!
Invite a friend or two.
Cook hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. Play a game outdoors.
Make it your SIMPLE CELEBRATION fancy and fun staying easy on the wallet and the work!
Thank you for coming back friend and for signing up for email updates. You WILL be getting some SIMPLE HOSPITALITY SPECIALS!
My goal is to post every weekend!
I am so happy!
YOU ARE MY PARTY!!
I hope you enjoy!
